Have you tried Letting the Enemy be your Foot Stool?

Galatians 5:7

              Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

It is YOU!

Instead of resisting the devil, many of us are entertaining him. How, you ask?

We entertain him by giving credence to those seemly, little thought processes that creep into our mind either out of our hectic work schedules/lifestyles and pressures of life. These are the thoughts that we do not even give a second thought because they enter in just that quickly.

EX: "I have a Headache"; "I am so sick."; This is what you are declaring out of "Your' mouth but the bible says, "..by his Stripes you are healed." Isaiah 53:5

 It is as the Spirit gave me last week "Taking our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ." 2 Cor 10:5 You must be careful of those things that come out of your mouths. Again, words are very Powerful. If you are not, taking your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ then, you are quoting from the wrong playbook, likely playing on the wrong side and, I don't know about you but, I am on the Lord's side.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:16

The word tells us in 1 Peter 5:8

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”  One thing you can count on from the enemy. He is going to do his job! He is going to try to make you stumble and /or fall.

That is his Job! The reason he is able to get to you is because you are not doing yours! In not applying these scriptures we fall Prey to the enemy who is then sifting you as wheat.

Anyone who can cook knows what a Sifter is - it is used to separate unwanted elements.

What the enemy does with us is Isolate us from that which is most important and useful, THE WORD OF GOD. The Spirit Spoke to me "Thank You, Holy Spirit!" and said, "The enemy is sifting us from the BODY (The Church) and he is pulling away those INANIMATE ONES those who have no life and are unfruitful.  Reference  back to last week's topic, If you do not have the word of God within you - You have nothing to fight let alone resist him with.

When you do not resist the devil, when you do not read, study and apply Gods word you are allowing him access and now he can penetrate your being. Everything is in God's Word you can most certainly find it there… So then, you should God will not send us out un-prepared "He" prepared us for battle Read Ephesians 6:10-18 "Show up Dressed Up!"
